Many of the people who I discussed the idea of this site with, were confused or did not understand why I would want to relate my military experience to the world of Affiliate Marketing. While I understood this question, and took them to heart, I was also convinced that there was a parallel between the two worlds.

In order to display this, I have chosen to make my first post about one of the most recognizable acronyms in the United States Marine Corps. BAMCIS is the basis of just about any  mission in the military. I also believe that this makes a perfect fit for making your decisions as you begin your Affiliate Marketing journey. I want to break down each step, and explain how they can be used in Tactical Affiliate Marketing. That is, Affiliate Marketing which uses tactics and training to make the most of your effort.

B – Begin the Planning

As you begin your Tactical Affiliate Marketing journey, it will be important that you have a plan. An overall idea of how you want to market yourself, your products, and ultimately your business in a constantly changing and evolving space.  This is the step where you may make list of available websites, or URLs that will work with your niche. You may also map out what tools you will need to accomplish your setup. What E-mail responder will you use? Will you use the class leading ClickFunnels to build out your sales  funnels from the beginning, or will will you use a cheaper alternative to get started? What will your actual niche be? There are tons of questions to be asked and answered in this phase.

The key to this phase is to not be overwhelmed with all of the options. There are a ton of resources out there to help guide you through the choices and show you the way.

A – Arrange for Reconnaissance

In this phase, you begin figuring out how you can research and discover the best of the best ideas and methods to research your needs and requirements. You may make a list of what you need to know. A list of the tools that you will require specifically, or what niches may go with what URLs are available. There are a ton of ways in which people will structure their research or “Reconnaissance”, so you will need to find what works best for you.

The key to this phase is to have an idea of exactly what you “need to know” in order to be successful with your Tactical Affiliate Marketing business.

M – Make Reconnaissance

This is the phase where the magic, as well as the majority of the work will take place. You will begin to shape and fill in the blanks when it comes to your idea. You will begin to narrow down your specific tools, learn how they work and the best way to implement them. You will find yourself watching tutorials and videos of people who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Affiliate Marketing world.  During this time you will also be verifying many of the things that you thought to be true earlier in the process. By the time this step is complete, you should have a pretty clear picture of what your business will look like. You should be comfortable with you niche, know things about it and know the best way for you to promote your Affiliate Marketing products.

The motto of this phase is Research, Research, Research!

C – Complete the Planning

All of the research completed during the reconnaissance phases will come together into a final plan. This plan should be thorough, and be a blueprint which will show the process and procedures that will be used to market your Affiliate Marketing niche site, blog or other product! This is where Tactical Affiliate Marketing makes the difference. You will have a complete step by step plan that can be repeated without starting the entire BAMCIS process over from the beginning.

The point of this phase is being thorough and as detailed as possible with the plan.

I – Issue the Order

Finally, It all comes together and you get to put all of your work into action. This is the point where your thoroughness and attention to detail will make things much much easier. You will take action to build your site, start your blog, build a following on Social Media, or whatever you choose to market your Affiliate Marketing niche. You will use all of the tools and steps which you have planned out in order to get people to see, learn about and purchase your product using your Tactical Affiliate Marketing strategies.

S – Supervise

The final, and most important step in BAMCIS is always supervision. It is said that no plan survives first contact. Or as Mike Tyson famously said “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face”. Basically, while your planning and ideas look great on paper, they will require small, or maybe even large adjustments as you learn more about your niche, your tools and your techniques.
